In the 1980s, ACF® built the Coalveyor Bathtub Gondola, which was used in unit train capacity to supply coal to power plants. Commonly seen with the logos of the leasing and purchasing utility companies, many of these cars are still employed today. C&D cars were part of batches of 4-12 car sets and used to haul demolition/refuse.
