Kato, N Scale, 30-461, EF66-100 Electric Locomotive, (Modified Version)

 

The JR EF66 100 series electric locomotive was created to help reinforce freight transportation for JR Cargo. It boasts the same performance as the EF66 type 0 series, with an updated streamlined design and an updated paint scheme that mirrors that of the standard JR Cargo colors. After the first eight cars of the primary series, enhancements such as a blue line on the body and a new headlight shape were included in a second version of the locomotive released in 1990. This updated version of the locomotive, with its blue roof, is still active in the Fukida engine district and is available commercially.
