Atlas Master Line, HO Scale, GE Dash 8-40B

Built by General Electric (GE) in the late 1980s, the DASH 8-40B diesel locomotives were notable for their high horsepower and unique design. One of the distinguishing features was their dynamic brake gear, which was located along the roofline between the cab and engine compartment. The ventilation for these brakes was provided by large roof-top grilles, giving them a distinctive appearance.
