Kato 106‑4621 – N Scale BNSF Bethgon Coalporter 8‑Car Set  

This set features eight BNSF mineral‑red Bethgon Coalporters (Set #1), decorated for the Burlington Northern & Santa Fe Railway. Car numbers included are: 668455, 668466, 668477, 668489, 668491, 668504, 668607, and 668704.


BNSF is one of the largest coal haulers in the western United States, moving between 40 and 60 loaded coal trains daily from the Powder River Basin in northeastern Wyoming and southeastern Montana. Their coal operations also serve Colorado, Illinois, New Mexico, and North Dakota. In 2004, BNSF transported 255 million tons of coal, and today operates over 400 coal trains across its system.
