This detailed Atlas Master Gold N Scale EMD SD9 locomotive is based on the 1,750-horsepower diesel-electric road switcher used by a number of railroads. Built between January 1954 and June 1959, a few of these long-lived units are still in operation in the 21st century and several are preserved in museums and on excursion railroads.
